In 2011, I embarked on what was to become the greatest adventure of my life so far. Determined to follow my dreams of studying sustainable fisheries, I packed my bags, my dog, and left the security of a full-time job in Chicago to once more become a student at the University of Miami. 18 hours and 3 audio books later, I was settling into my new life studying Marine Biology and Fisheries in paradise. I have never looked back.

I have been extremely fortunate to stay on as a PhD student after completing my Master's degree. Now, I am traveling the world to study billfish conservation, and even manage to squeeze in some fishing, once in a while.
